I'll probably be using this book 'Very regularly' for months. I had Windows 7 [which I LOVED] but had to update to Windows 10 [I didn't want to but backup stopped for my favourite old Windows 7] Windows 10, at the moment, isn't easy for me - but I won't give up and with the information in this little book -- I know I'll get the hang of 10 soon [read eventually!] I've bought several "For Dummies" books on various subjects in the past and would highly recommend all of them. What can you say about a computer manual for something as warm and lovable as Windows 10? It's useful and answered some of my questions. Oh, and I'm still very glad that these books got rid of the stupid cartoons.

Helpful as a reference as my computer friend helps me. We both think the book is poorly arranged.

I bought an up to date user manual for Windows 10 and found it a waste of time. So I turned to Dummies, what a smart move on my part. This book tells you everything you need to know in an easily digestible and enjoyable manner. The index is such you can find exactly the bit your looking for, which is very useful as there is so much information presented you can't keep it all in your head. I am now a Dummies fan. This book is very helpful on most things, but I have found some things that it does not cover, like how to open a email that is an attachment to an email. But over all it is very helpful.

Unfortunately the items I wish to follow up do not appear in the book. My copy of windows 10 (education) seems different to how it is portrayed in the book. For eg.I do not seem to have "recovery". Also my laptop is stuck in "airplane" mode and nothing I do will change it back to wifi. I did not put it into this mode. It just came up like that on boot up, it was fine previously. This edition of windows 10 was on the machine when I bought it. (second hand} P.S. I much prefer windows 7. lol

I had a previous version of Windows for Dummies a few years ago and found it very useful, so I decided to get the Windows 10 copy and I think the book was written for me. It explains a lot of things you can do with Windows 10 that a lot of people may not know about.

Good reference book to help you understand the workings of Windows 10 especially answer queries you have. Wouldn't read it cover to cover but good for consultation. Another winner from Andy Rathbone. His Windows7 book was good and this one follows his winning format. As he says, you don't have to read it all, just the parts which you're interested in, then use it as a reference book. Thoroughly recommended.Another winner from Andy Rathbone. Needed help to master Windows 10, and this may provide it, though I am not there yet. Far too comprehensive to read all of it, but not that easy to 'jump around' to topics of interest - but to be fair, the subject does not help towards that. By comparison, Windows 10 for Seniors, for Dummies has far less content; not enough in it / to suit me, but likely to be far more useful for absolute dummies!Needed help to master Windows 10, and this may provide it, though I am not there yet. This Manual is so thick it has put me off bothering. the presentation is so dull. I dose`nt look exciting. Perhaps it could be divided into thinner books with more colour codeing for each learning platform. Afterall it is for Dummies,

being from the windows 3.1 era, I got a few windows xp systems, updated them to windows 7.....NOW, for the task of windows 10. Some of them CANNOT be updated due to the NX check they put in but one of my systems is Windows 10. A little different from windows 7 so THE BOOK is a VALUABLE RESOURCE to me

This book is very good but for many things its just as easy to look up online than try to find your issue in the book. It does have some very helpful tips and I have enjoyed using it.

Would reco0mmend this to anyone not familiar with Windows 10 as it had about 90% of the answers the average erson needs
